Meet the team

Brian A. Valish - President

Brian started out his career working for multiple contractors building custom homes during high school and then continued his career after graduating. When he graduated he furthered his dream by entering into a Architectural Drafting school. During these next couple of years he worked very hard by building homes during the day and then attending night school learning the drafting trade.

After earning his Pennsylvania certificates for Mechanical and Architectural drafting he started working for a company directly, building High Performance custom homes in the Greater Lehigh Valley. While working here, Brian worked aside of management, assisted Energy Audits, and installed Solar ( PV and Hot Water).

When Brian went his separate ways from the company, he then became a Subcontractor working for local contractors. Using his communication and carpentry skills, Brian was fast growing and realized that it was time to form a company that would promise to bring the highest professionalism along with best well rounded craftsmen to any doorstep. Habitat Building Group, LLC entered into the industry in early 2013. Now, as an Award-Winning Company they are growing rapidly and have continually succeeded as one of the number one competitors in the Greater Lehigh Valley – Poconos and surrounding areas.

Heidi E. Hickman - Office Manager

Heidi is the Office Manager of Habitat Building Group, LLC . She joined the Habitat team with a combined 34 years of experience as secretary, administrator, property manager and customer service. Heidi provides administrative office support, working alongside the owner to coordinate, set appointments and schedule jobs, handling the day to day operations, and working with clients, vendors and township officials. She is your primary contact when you call or come to our showroom. Heidi also provides support in doing research for the owner or client when looking for a specific product and is versed with our showroom products. She loves taking time with customers to hear their ideas and works alongside the owner to help make those visions and dreams come true.

Michael Moyer - Lead Carpenter

Michael comes to us with a diverse background with Certificates in Welding & Automotive Technology, various Database Environments, Designing Systems for Architecture and so much more, with 20+ years of experience.

He is experienced and versatile in carpentry, woodworking and metal design with background in residential and commercial construction and remodeling to include framing, trim, windows, doors, and siding. Michaels skills in welding have afforded him and Habitat to create one of a kind designs for our customers
